The story follows Xue Buyi (played by Liu Fengchao), a low-ranking constable who spends ten years being marginalized due to his naivety and lack of political awareness. His life takes a tragic turn when he is framed as the scapegoat in a disaster relief fund theft case. At his lowest point, Xue Buyi is rescued by his mentor Huang Shining (played by Chunyu Shanshan). He reunites with his fellow disciple Li Zhen (played by Yuan Fufu), hoping to reclaim justice.
